How to play Zayac
Zayac is an association party game played with phones. Sit together, join in a minute, and talk out loud. Below is the short path for a first game, without every rules edge case.
The idea in 20 seconds
Everyone knows the secret word. One player — the Hare — does not. You say associations to prove you’re in on it without giving the word away. Then you vote on who’s bluffing.
Setup
You need at least three people. Everyone opens Zayac. One creates a game; the others scan the QR or type the code. Room language can be Ukrainian, Russian, or English.
Roles
A regular player sees the theme and a highlighted word. The Hare sees the theme and the full list, but not which word is secret. Don’t show your screen.
A short example
Theme: Animals. Secret word: Giraffe.
A player might say: “tall”.
The Hare sees every word in the theme but doesn’t know which one is secret. If they say “whiskers” or “cage”, the table will catch them fast. A careful “savannah” might keep them alive.
Voting and points
After a round of associations, everyone votes on their phone. If the Hare isn’t found, they score 2. If they’re found and guess the word, they score 1. If they’re found and miss, everyone else scores 1.
What next
That’s enough for a first party. When you start arguing about “was that allowed?” or a tie, read the full rules. If you’re looking for more group games, see party games.
